Cryptic is an anonymous social app that pins your thoughts to the place you had them. Confessions, doubts, small truths — paired with a mood-themed background from a hand-curated library and dropped like a whisper on the map. There are no follower counts, no profiles, no algorithm rewarding outrage — just a Nearby feed of what people around you are quietly thinking, and a Global feed for everything else. Built solo end-to-end on React Native and Supabase, with a PostGIS proximity RPC anchoring every post to the exact place it was written, RLS-hardened row security, an in-app moderator queue with 3-strike auto-hide, and automatic 988 crisis resources on distress posts. It's a bet that anonymous social can be honest again if you strip out the parts that made it toxic the first time.
